Questions?

Here are some of the most common questions I get about working together.

If you don’t see your question listed or are ready to schedule a free consult, contact me.

  • Majority of my work is virtual. I have a limited number of appointments on most Thursday mornings during the school year in North Palm Beach, Florida.

  • As long as I can see you, online therapy does work for somatics. Clients who I saw during the pandemic chose to meet with me in person after things opened, and went back to online, due to there being no difference. Some people do not like to drive after a session.

  • Yes, please see the first question!

  • Usually, finding sensations in the body and most importantly, finding the resource or the “good” sensations. Our survival is based on knowing where the activation or uncomfortable sensations are — they keep us safe so we can fight the next lion that jumps in front of us.

  • Everyone is so different. Some people see me for the SE piece while working with another therapist. Some people see me on a weekly or biweekly basis, depending on their needs. Developmental trauma (little Ts) surprisingly, need more sessions than big events (big Ts). i encourage clients to do what works for them.

  • I want to know what your body is sensing in between sessions. You can say, you will have homework! :) I want your life to get better— so why do therapy if its not?

  • Sometimes I can work as a consultant instead of a therapist, depending on the circumstances. There are developing changes within our licesning boards to accept people out of our general states, so stay tuned.

  • I am a licensed professional counselor in Connecticut (LPC). I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida (LMHC). I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner everywhere. I attended Fairfield University , which integrated Counseling, Family Therapy and Psychology departments into my programming, so I am able to supervise LMFTs ( Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists) and Counselors in the State of Florida. I generally do not use the QS after my name of Qualified Supervisor due to ease. Before my mental health training, I did complete coaching certification programs.

I am NOT, however, an LMFT. I did not sit for that test.
